1. Product Overview
FTA-T-21 is a safety-grade passive field termination board exclusively developed for Honeywell FSC safety instrumented system (SIS). It serves as the signal bridge between field safety switches, limit switches, emergency stop dry contacts and the FSC digital input master card. It adopts orange industrial safety housing, dual-layer terminal block design: one side for field 125VAC / 150VDC field wiring, the other side via dedicated black ribbon connector plug directly to FSC DI card rear slot. Each channel is equipped with independent isolation circuit, surge absorption diode and fault detection loop. Fail-safe design core logic: When power loss, wire break or channel short circuit occurs, the channel automatically enters pre-defined safe state to avoid misoperation of safety interlock. Compared with ordinary DCS FTA boards, it meets IEC61508 SIL2 safety integrity level requirements, with full channel self-diagnosis function. Compact DIN rail mounting structure, light weight 0.12kg, widely deployed in refinery, chemical plant, thermal power plant boiler & turbine safety interlock cabinet, matched with FSC series safety controllers.
